As a Jazz Musician, living in New York and Big Sur, Peter played with numerous Jazz legends including Billie Holiday and Lennie Tristano. “In Miami, I played with Buddy Rich in the evenings, then would get up early in the morning to go and paint in the Everglades, which are beautiful. Whenever work as a musician was short, I would sell my paintings to my friends – Nina Simone even bought some!”

Peter's paintings reflect his concern with nature with images of bright sunlight on beaches in Barbados, trees in dappled sunlight on 5th Avenue New York and landscapes of Spain, Italy and France. “I try to capture that feeling of energy, life energy which is in everything.”
